FIDLAR’s ‘Awkward’ To Appear On Tour EP

Oh, my lord – new stuff from FIDLAR twice in one week! The LA slacker outfit, not content with just bringing you the video for Cocaine, starring Parks & Recreation‘s Nick Offerman, have dropped their killer new track Awkward.

The song isn’t entirely new for the quartet, with another version called AWWWKWAARRRDDD, featuring British singer Kate Nash on backing vocals making its way onto the internet last year. The new version is three minutes of lolloping Weezer-esque geek rock awesome, with its killer chorus of “I’ll probably end up fucking up and make it super awkward”.

To add to the joyousness is the cover art, featuring some very awkward childhood school pictures of the band members, complete with braces, bad hair and goofy smiles. The track is set to appear on the band’s upcoming tour-only split 7-inch with The Orwells.

FIDLAR will be playing Splendour In The Grass this weekend as well as Adelaide’s Spin Off festival on 2nd August, as well as playing sideshows in Sydney, Melbourne and Perth. Awkward will be available on a split 7″ with Illinois rockers The Orwells and will be sold exclusively on the tour.
