One half of New Zealand’s comedic geniuses, Flight Of The Conchords, Bret Mackenzie, has been awarded an Oscar for his effort in the 2011 Muppets Movie. Mackenzie made one of the key musical scenes of the movie, with his song Man Or a Muppet, which is sure to move anyone.

The song, sung by How I Met Your Mother’s Jason Segel and Peter Linz, triumphed over Real in Rio, which was composed by Sérgio Mendes, Carlinhos Brown and Siedah Garrett.

Mackenzie is set to tour Australia with Flight Of The Conchords later this year.
