Flightpath Festival Announced

Focusing on local music and the local community, Leichhardt Council presents a new music festival located in the heart of the municipality at the Sydney College of the Arts, Callan Park, Rozelle.

With two stages, one focussing on local youth acts and the main stage showcasing an eclectic range of styles from jazz to gypsy and psychedelic indie pop, Flightpath Festival is sure to be an event to tantalise everybody’s local music and cultural tastebuds. Flightpath Festival also aims to encourage those out of the direct community to join in for the festivities.

Headlined by local heroes, the Snowdroppers, also sharing the stage will be the colourful troupe of indie pop darlings, Cuthbert & The Nightwalkers, who have received glowing national reviews for both their songwriting sensibilities as well as their epic live shows. For those more intrigued by the aural delight of gypsy melodies, local folk quintet Lolo Lovina will offer an explosive set filled with their trademark high energy performance that has seen them support some of the greatest music revolutionaries including Rachid Tahafor and Brian Eno’s Luminous Festival.

For the less musically inclined, Flightpath Festival will don a selection of sustainable-focused market and food stalls, including homemade lemonade, gelato, Latin American delights and a chocolate fountain, as well as art workshops lead by both indigenous artists and SCA students for those wanting to take a more hands on approach.
