Flogging Molly have announced a couple of sidewaves while in Australia for Soundwave 2013, and they’re not coming alone. Joining the Celtic punkers are fellow American acts The Lawrence Arms and Lucero.
Dropping their fifth studio album, Speed of Darkness, in 2011, The LA-based Flogging Molly have made a career of blending blues and Celtic tradition into high energy, heartfelt, irrepressible punk rock.
Of course The Lawrence Arms are no strangers to cracking punk rock tunes. Although the Chicago outfit released their debut album, A Guided Tour of Chicago, in 1999, The Lawrence Arms sound as though they came from the height of mid 90’s punk rock.
Lucero come with the most recent album. Releasing Women & Work last year, the Memphis band mix alt. country and southern twang with punk rock sensibilities, and round off the three-fold bill perfectly.
