Florence Welch Joins Fans In Singlong After Being Spotted On London Train

Florence and the Machine frontlady Florence Welch knows just how to treat her fans. After being spotted travelling on the Tube in the UK, the singer chose to join in a singalong with fans rather than jump ship at the first available option.

According to UK’s The Standard, Welch was on her way home after watching Kendrick Lamar perform at the nearby Hammersmith Apollo when her fellow public transporters noticed who she was and began singing her 2009 hit song You’ve Got the Love.

Instead of taking the situation the wrong way and getting all weird about it, Welch joined in. The singer performed the rest of the single to the packed carriage, before paying homage to Lamar by performing his song Backseat Freestyle.

According to a witness, “Florence jumped on the Tube after Kendrick and, as you can imagine, every carriage was packed. At first she tried to keep a low profile but it didn’t take long for a few people to recognise her. They started singing You’ve Got The Love but instead of bailing at the next stop, Florence joined in. It was brilliant.”

Everyone must have been too busy singing along to get any footage of the event, but something is sure to pop up.
