Flume Shares New Track ‘Quirk’ With Footage Of Him Surfing At Kelly Slater’s Wave Pool

Flume‘s forthcoming Skin Companion EP is due out later this month, and now the Aussie producer has shared a new track from it called Quirk.

The tune has been used as a backing track for a video he uploaded yesterday called ‘Flume Adventures: Day of the Wave’.

The clip stars Flume, who grew up on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, with a bunch of his mates including Aussie surfing champion Steph Gilmore. They’re taking some time out from his busy touring schedule to check out surfing champion Kelly Slater’s ‘Surf Ranch’ personal wave pool.

And perhaps unsurprisingly, Flume’s more than handy on a surfboard.

“I’m at Kelly Slater’s own wave pool,” says Flume in disbelief. “I’m insanely excited right now. This is a dream of ours… since primary school.”

The track itself is a slow-burner, full of some classic, glitchy Flume samples and ethereal vocals.

Skin Companion is due to be released Friday, 25th November – and you can check out a preview of every track on it here.
