Foreigner Touring Australia In January 2015

Beloved soft rock outfit Foreigner will be touring Australia in 2015. The rockers will play two east coast shows next January, bringing their extensive catalogue of hits to Sydney and Melbourne audiences.

The band will grace the stage of Sydney’s Enmore Theatre on Tuesday, 27th January and then move on to Melbourne’s Palais Theatre on Thursday, 29th January. Earlier this week, the band also announced a series of New Zealand summer concerts along with Three Dog Night and Heart.

Formed in 1976 by American vocalist Lou Gramm and English musician Mick Jones, Foreigner has spawned a number of chart topping hits throughout its 40 year existence. Mick Jones and Lou Gramm were also inducted into the Songwriters Hall Of Fame last year for their work in crafting 10 multi-platinum albums, including 16 Top 30 hits.

While Gramm no longer tours, Jones reclaimed frontman duties in 2012 after a bout of ill health and helms the band once again. The rest of the current lineup consists of lead vocalist Kelly Hansen, multi-instrumentalist Tom Gimbel and founding member of Dokken, bass guitarist Jeff Pilson. 2015 will be the first time the rockers have visited Australia in nearly a decade.

While in the country, Foreigner will be performing an entirely new set consisting of several chart hits as well as the best tracks from their classic 1981 album 4, which includes hits like Waiting for a Girl Like You and Jukebox Hero.

Full ticket details are expected to be announced tomorrow morning. See dates and venues below.
