Foster The People To Start Work On New Album Soon

Foster The People are planning to record the follow-up to their debut album Torches later this year.

Lead singer Mark Foster told NME he plans to head into the studio once they finish their current tour in the UK – with a single or two to come out at the end of 2012.

“Hopefully we’ll have a song or two out by the end of the year,” he said.

“I’d like to get the album done pretty quickly but we’re not going to put something out until its ready.  I’d say in 2013 it’ll be out.”

He also believes the album will sound more ‘analogue’ than its predecessor.

“I’d love to make a more analogue record and not so digital, but at the same time still modern,” he said.

“I think it will be an evolution of the sound we’ve created so far.”
