UPDATE 14/10/16: Frank Iero has spoke out for the first time about the Sydney bus crash involving him and his band, with police releasing more details about what happened.

ORIGINAL STORY: US rocker and former My Chemical Romance member Frank Iero has been reportedly involved in a crash involving a bus and a van in the Sydney CBD.

Iero was due to play a show tonight in Sydney at the Metro Theatre tonight, but fans have received a text message noting that the show has been cancelled as Channel 9 News reports that an “American rockstar” has been involved in a “horror crash”.

Music Feeds understands that the rockstar involved in the crash was Frank Iero and his band the patience. Photos taken at the scene obtained by Music Feeds show a black van and gear featuring a label that reads ‘Death Spells’, the name of one of Iero’s bands.

The incident happened this afternoon with a Sydney city bus crashing into the van on Park Street in the CBD. New South Wales Police has confirmed that the bus crashed into the van while three men were unloading gear from the stationary vehicle.

Two men were injured, with one airlifted to St. Vincent’s Hospital and the other taken to hospital via road. Both are in a “serious but stable” condition. A third man was treated at the scene.

Channel 9 is further reporting that “the crew members and the manager” are injured, however it is unknown whether Iero has been injured.

Iero played in Melbourne last night, with Sydney marked as the last stop of his six-date tour.

You can watch Channel 9‘s story below, and we’ll have more information as it comes to hand.

UPDATE 13/10/16 7pm AEST: The band’s bassist Alexander Paul has tweeted that he doesn’t have many details as he wasn’t at the venue, but he’s been told “everyone is in a stable condition”.
