Fremantle Festival Announces 2016 Lineup Full Of Local Legends

Fremantle Festival has lined-up a golden bill of local talent led by Bernard Fanning and Dan Sultan for its 2016 event.

The WA festival stretches out over 10 days and while the full program will be announced in September we have the first bunch of names set in stone to take to venues around Fremantle including Fremantle Town Hall, Fremantle Arts Centre and St John’s Anglican Church in October.

Fanning and Sultan are just two of the names on the stellar bill with fellow Aussies C.W. Stoneking, The Drones, Gareth Liddiard and Claire Bowditch, among others, also due to play. There are also a number of special performances like Abbe May’s cabaret Tonight Show.

While the music roster is great there’s also plenty more to the festival with The Project‘s Waleed Aly, Daily Life Columnist Clementine Ford and journalist Stan Grant also listed.

The festival will kick off on 28th October and run for 10 days. There are more than 40 events scheduled to happen across the duration of the festival with the full program still to be announced.
