Future Music Festival 2015 Dates, Venues Announced

Summer festival announcements are now in full swing and now one of Australia’s biggest music events, the Future Music Festival has confirmed when and where it will take place in 2015, as the dance festival swings through the country next February and March.

Future Music Festival 2015 will make its very first stop on its national trek at Sydney’s Royal Randwick Racecourse on Saturday 28th February. From there the party will head west to Perth at Arena Joondalup, before bringing back east a week later in Brisbane’s RNA Showgrounds, Melbourne’s Flemington Racecourse and finishing up at the Adelaide Showground.

Organisers have also confirmed that the 2015 lineup will be revealed on Wednesday, 22nd October at 6pm on Nova FM radio station. Earlier this year it was speculated that British dance duo Basement Jaxx may make their way onto the Future 2015 lineup after they told Music Feeds they were eyeing February for a possible Australian tour.

As well as planning on being in the country around the time of the festival Basement Jaxx are also associated with Mushroom Group who last year announced a “strategic alliance” with Future Entertainment, the company responsible for the nationally touring Future Music Festival and its under-18s counterpart, Good Life festival.

It was also announced earlier this year that Basement Jaxx will join the lineup of It’s The Ship, Asia’s largest festival at sea run by the folks behind Future Music Festival Asia. It’s The Ship will set sail from Singapore this November and travel for five days across the Malacca Straits to the Malaysia’s Langkawi and back to Singapore. The lineup also includes Chvrches and a DJ set from Lil Jon.
