The Gaslamp Killer Is Suing Two Women Over Rape Allegations

CONTENT WARNING: The following article discusses allegations of rape and sexual assault

LA producer The Gaslamp Killer is suing the two women who last month accused him of drugging and raping them in 2013.

The experimental artist, real name William Bensussen, became the subject of allegations by Chelsea Tadros and RaeAn Medina, when Tadros posted claims on Twitter alleging that he spiked their drinks four years ago at a party, before having non-consensual sex with both women.

Now TMZ reports that Bensussen is suing the women for defamation. In the suit, he claims to have had consensual sex with the two women, and claims they propositioned him.

The suit also contains statements from a witness who claims they could see the women’s drinks the whole time, and that they weren’t tampered with. Bensussen’s housemate is also quoted as saying the two women did not appear incapacitated when they left the house.

Shortly after the allegations became public, Australian promoters The Operatives announced that The Gaslamp Killer had been removed from the lineups for upcoming Let Them Eat Cake and Breakfest festivals.
