Warning: Graphic Images Ahead

The Ghost Inside guitarist Zach Johnson has confirmed the loss of two toes on his left foot as a result of the fatal bus crash which left all band members with serious injuries in November.

Taking to Twitter to share the bad news with fans, Johnson set up a poll to see if fans wanted to see his injured foot, which, of course, they did:

After the resounding “yes” from his followers, Johnson explained that following the bus crash his pinky toe was “barely on” his foot and therefore didn’t survive. The nearest toe to the pinky became infected and had to be removed as well.

Johnson says his third, fourth and fifth toes were destroyed in the accident, with “bones/vessels gone”. Below is a photo of the injury to his foot, as well as an after-shot following surgery.

English bands You Me At Six, Deaf Havana and Your Demise recently hosted a benefit gig for The Ghost Inside in London, and footage of the show has emerged online and is available to stream below.

The Ghost Inside’s frontman, Jonathan Vigil, has been feeling so much from music industry people over the last few months that he posted this heartfelt message to Twitter yesterday:

Earlier this month, The Ghost Inside drummer Andrew Tkaczyk confirmed the loss of his right leg as a result of the November bus crash, but said he has “remained in positive and good spirits”. Tkaczyk is leaving hospital very soon after hanging out with these cute pups:

All five members of The Ghost Inside and members of their crew were injured when their tour bus collided with a semi-trailer outside El Paso in November. Two drivers died in the accident.

Since the incident, the band’s label Epitaph has announced it is donating all profits from the group’s album sales to help pay their medical bills. There is also a GoFundMe campaign to support the band and their families, as well as a separate one for their late driver Greg Hoke.
