Godspeed You! Black Emperor First Record in 10 Years Reportedly Out Now

News has broken that Canadian collective Godspeed You! Black Emperor are all set to release their first record in a decade. However, although the official release date is only weeks away, reports have surfaced that the post-rock band have already made the new LP available for purchase to fans attending the group’s current North American tour.

The report comes from Pitchfork, who posted that ALLELUJAH! DON’T BEND! ASCEND! will be released through Constellation on October 19, but a GY!BE Fan Site has claimed that the album is already being sold to show-goers, and posted the images embedded below of the packaging that appears to be the actual CD.

The official release will offer fans a chance to purchase a vinyl edition that will come with a poster with further details about ALLELUJAH! DON’T BEND! ASCEND! found at Cargo Records, which interestingly offers no cover image. The October release date will give Australians plenty of time to absorb the new LP before GY!BE tour Australia in February 2013.
