Gotye 2011 Tour Dates Announced

Gotye has announced a run of Australian tour dates to launch his new album Making Mirrors due to be released on August 19th, and he will be bringing a 10 piece orchestra with him.

From the presser:

For the first time ever, the orchestra will re-create Gotye’s unique, sample-laden music in a completely live setting. That means no click tracks or backing tracks, people. The orchestra will include Wally de Backer (Gotye) on vocals, a midi marimba, drums. 3-piece horn section, keyboards, guitar, bass, percussion, drum kit and backing vocals. In addition, there will be visuals animated by some of Australia’s most talented artists (Rubber House, Lucinda Schreiber, Mechanical Apple, PictureDRIFT) and performed live with the band. The tour manager will be busy.

Gotye has already had an amazing response to his new single Someone That I Used To Know, Ashton Kutcher even tweeted the YouTube link to his 7 million followers during the week.
