Like the rest of the music community, Music Feeds has been keeping tabs on the continued success of the song that was the clear favourite and eventual winner of triple j’s Hottest 100, 2011.

Somebody That I Used to Know has reached #1 in 18 countries, including the UK and the US.

When speaking with NME last month, Gotye conceded that the sustained success of Somebody That I Used to Know can be tiring.

“Sometimes I feel like I’m a bit sick of it. My inbox, on any given day, has at least five covers or parodies or remixes of it, and there’s only so many times you can listen to the one song”, Gotye said.
