Congratulations, friend. You’ve survived yet another week in this screwy world, and this one was particularly shitty. Brangelina hit splitsville, Mr. Robot ended for another season and it turns out society is filled with even more racist dickheads than we originally thought.
But DW about that, because it’s the ma’fkn weekend now. And ur bois Green Day have just the tune to soundtrack your slow-motion step across the finishing line that is Friday arvo.
It’s called Still Breathing, and it’s an uplifting slice of punk rock balladry that will make you want to stare wistfully into the sunset as you drive/walk/train it home from work/uni/etc and nod your head in silent approval as you suddenly realise that everything is going to be OK.
Still Breathing marks the third tune that we’ve heard in full from Billie Joe Armstrong & co’s forthcoming new disc Revolution Radio, which is due out on Friday, 7th October.
It follows the disc’s more white-knuckled title track and aggro first single Bang Bang.
