In the country for what were highly-awaited sets at Falls and Southbound, Brooklyn outfit Grizzly Bear are streaming their one-off debut performance at the Sydney Opera House via YouTube so fans and newcomers alike can experience their unique discography in this unique venue.
“We fell in love with Australia on our first trip down there, and we are always anxious to come back,” the band told triple j Magazine before their Harvest Festival appearance at 2012. “I think Australia is probably one of our favourite places to play… But it was so much fun playing both times we visited.”
Following-up the success of their critically acclaimed debut and sophomore records, Veckatimest and Yellow House, 2012’s Shields marked a shift in the band’s writing process, making it their most democratically produced album yet, with song elements coming in from each member of the band.
