The Gum Ball Announces 2017 Dates, Lineup Announcement Date

Written by Emmy Mack on November 2, 2016

Bust out your highlighters because The Gum Ball music and arts festival has just unveiled the official dates for its 2017 return.

The 12th instalment of the sweet-ass three-day BYO camping festival is set to take place across the weekend of Friday 21st – Sunday 23rd April next year.

Once again returning to the iconic bush venue of Dashville in the NSW Hunter Valley — which also plays home to fests like Dashville Skyline, PigSty in July and, most recently, Thrashville — The Gum Ball will be aiming to top its biggest year yet, with the 2016 event selling out in record time.

Organiser Matt Johnston says: “Last year we were over the moon when the festival sold out so early. A lot of people know how hard we’ve worked to achieve our goals. Having both You Am I and Dan Sultan playing a sold out festival in our front yard was a bit of a dream come true to say the least!”

The Gum Ball has a proud rep for rounding up some of the country’s most popular acts to perform alongside their pick of the best emerging talent from home turf and overseas. Legends like Hoodoo Gurus and Custard have played alongside artists on their way up like The Preatures and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard.

Alongside an undoubtedly sweet-ass lineup, The Gum Ball will also be teeing up a stack of gourmet food and market stalls, kids crèche, yoga, skate demos, workshops, live art and a very popular late night silent disco, so get in amongst it.

As for the 2017 lineup, that’s set to be unveiled on Friday, 16th December, but you can get your hands on tickets as early as Friday, 11th November.

Catch all the details below.
