Guns N’ Roses Say “They’ll Be Back” To Tour Australia Again

Guns N’ Roses may have just wrapped up the Aussie leg of their truly epic Not In This Lifetime tour, but it seems like the whole thing wasn’t just ~once in a lifetime~.

Departing the sweaty shores of Down Under today following their final stadium show in Perth last night, the band have revealed that — like Arnie in the flick that turned ‘You Could Be Mine’ into a mega-hit — they’ll be back.

“Fabulous crowd in Perth tonight! Perfect last show of an awesome Australian run!” GNR’s resident top-hatted Les Paul-slinger Slash tweeted following last night’s monster closer. “Have a great rest of the summer! We’ll be back! iiii [; )'”

While “Thank you Perth! Thank you Australia! See you next time,” was the post on the band’s official Twitter account.

Finally, bass-slinger (and legit inspiration for The Simpsons‘ Duff Beer) Duff McKagan also hinted at a possible return: “Until we meet again…everyone take care of each other,” he tweeted.

So what do we make of all this? Well, for one, GnFnR’s global reunion trek featuring the quasi-OG lineup seems to have been more than just a one-off fling. If a return to Australia is legit on the cards in the not-too-distant future, then it implies that the reunited core trio of Axl Rose, Slash and Duff are officially back together to stay.

Logistically, this could mean that OG drummer Steven Adler’s recent hypothetical of a full blown reunion tour — featuring both himself and rhythm axeman Izzy Stradlin — to celebrate Appetite For Destruction‘s 30th birthday this year may be more than just a pipe dream.

Or, even more likely, it could mean that new Gunners tunes/a new album/the whole shebang with the current mish-mashed lineup could be on the cards.

Either way, I think we can all agree that — whichever way you slice it — the prospect of Guns N’ Roses coming back to rock Australia again soon is pretty damn exciting, given that this last tour was one. fucking. good. time.
