APRIL FOOLS! Guns ‘n’ Roses Re-unite To Join Limp Bizkit on ‘Sad Clown’ World Tour? Nope.

Well I thought it was pretty obvious that this was an April Fools joke. I mean, come on, clown make-up? Axl admitting he was wrong?! I just hope Google saw the humour in it when they indexed it in their news service

Yep, it’s official. In a move sure to excite rock n roll fans young and old alike, Guns ‘N’ Roses have confirmed that they are reuniting their original line up to embark on a world tour with the champions of Nu-metal, Limp Bizkit.

With a new album, Sad Clown, set to drop “sometime in June” Fred Durst has confirmed that the classic line up will be on board for all seventy five dates of a soon-to-be-announced global assault.

Of the new album, Durst has said that “it’s our retaliation record. We were sick of being seen as the running punch line in a gag that has reduced our band’s entire ethos to nothing more than a footnote in musical history. We figured, hell, why not run with it?”

The tour will see Limp Bizkit donning full clown get-ups, with each venue across the globe to be “decked out to the nines” in carnival garb. The band will be wearing clown attire for their entire performance, and punters will be greeted with a stick of fairy floss upon entry to each show.

Axl Rose is said to be “extremely excited” about the tour, with Slash confirming that “he’s really getting into the whole aesthetic. There’s talk he’ll be joining Limp for at least a couple of songs at each show. He’s really keen to try on some of that clown make-up the guys have been talking about”.

The tour will cap off a tumultuous few years for all musicians involved, with the previously shunned members of Guns ‘N’ Roses on permanent hiatus from their side project Velvet Revolver, since the departure of lead singer Scott Weiland, and significantly meagre sales of both the new Guns ‘N’ Roses Chinese Democracy and Limp Bizkit’s last record The Unquestionable Truth (Part 1) still hanging over the respective band’s heads.

“It just came time for everyone to admit they were wrong, Axl especially” says Slash of the unexpected decision to reunite Guns ‘N’ Roses. “For now it’s just gonna be this world tour, but we’re really itching to finally get back in the studio together and record some new material”.

We’ll have full details of the upcoming Australian tour dates soon… Stay tuned.
