Banks is approaching the Friday, 30th September release date of her next album The Altar in leaps and bounds, sharing the third cut from the record Gemini Feed.
The track sees Banks laying on a the ‘tude nice and thick, as she waxes passive-aggressive over a minimal beat that dare not interrupt, tapping away from a safe distance. Now, we all know a Gemini and are well aware of their penchant for sass so we’re gonna assume this track was always intended to have claws.
This does seem to match up with her previous offering, the creepy yet confident single Fuck With Myself.
Forget the stress of ‘the difficult second album’, Banks seems bloody stoked on here sophomore effort. After the song air with Annie Mac on BBC Radio 1, Banks gave some brief insight into what it’s like to be her rn.
“It feels surreal having people hear one of my children that I’ve been working on…I just had so much to write about, this album for me is really kind of like a metamorphoses of me coming into my own,”
Banks added she’s feeling pretty damn unstoppable and as a result, is eager “to take up space.”
We’re really ok with this.
