Hear Foo Fighters Wail In New ‘Sonic Highways’ Snippet

A day after confirming that they’d received a test pressing of their highly anticipated new album, Foo Fighters have shared another short snippet of the record. The band finally shared details of the new album, titled Sonic Highways, earlier this month. It is slated for worldwide release on 10th November.

“You guys. We just got in test pressings of the record. It’s getting real,” the band recently tweeted, along with an image of a shiny black vinyl that holds what Foos fans have been desperate to hear for months. The band followed-up earlier this morning, sharing a video of the test pressing being played, with audio.

So far, the only other taste that Foo Fighters fans have had of the long-awaited new album has been an 8-second clip that the band shared via social media earlier this month. The clip showed a large studio monitor emitting a characteristically throat-shredding vocal from the band’s frontman, Dave Grohl.

As anticipation for the band’s eighth studio album begins to surge, the band are now accepting pre-orders for the Sonic Highways CD and 180-gram vinyl LP via their website. The vinyl album comes in an assortment of nine different covers and a choice of cover can only be made through the Foos site.

The band’s new album shares its title with Grohl’s equally anticipated forthcoming HBO documentary series, which covers the recording of the new album in eight different US cities. It’s also been confirmed that the first full song to be taken from the album, will premiere with the Stateside debut of the series.
