Here’s What To Expect At Matt & Alex’s Free Farewell Parties

Written by Zanda Wilson on November 25, 2016

The blow of Matt Okine and Alex Dyson’s impending departure from triple j has been softened a little, care of the ‘5 Raves In 5 Days‘ the boys will be putting on for free across the country next week.

They’re hosting parties with some of their favourite Aussie acts, including Drapht, Luke Million, Client Liaison, Illy, Gang Of Youths, Montaigne, San Cisco, Ball Park Music, Confidence Man and stacks more, from Perth on Monday through to Brisbane on Friday.

The boys prepared themselves for the massive bender with one of their best ever Friday Dance-Offs this morning, to show that they’re at peak-rave and ready to hit the clubs with some of the most incredible dance moves around.

So, to give you a bit of an idea of what to expect dance-wise, we trawled back through some of the best of Matt & Alex’s #fridaydanceoff (footage care of ‘Mornings’ presenter Zan Rowe) so that you too can prepare yourselves for the week to come.

We start with this week’s Here’s Jonny by Hocus Pocus, featuring some nek level scary rave eyes from both the lads. We dare you not to laugh.

Next up, we have the return of the running man from 2015, soundtracked by Deadmau5’s Sofi Needs A Ladder.

All hail the return of the running man. Yr #FRIDAYDANCEOFF with @aedyson & @mattokine. 💃🏼

Earlier this year, Matt & Alex threw down the gauntlet and challenged ‘Arvo’ presenters Veronica Milsom & Lewis Hobba to a dance off featuring legionnaires hats. They were only too happy to oblige.

And finally, last week’s dance off to What So Not‘s remix of Innerbloom by RÜFÜS was one for the ages – featuring a seizing, zombie Alex Dyson.

Zombie #FridayDanceOff with @mattokine & @aedyson. 👊🏻
