High On Fire Announces Australian Tour Dates September 2012

Written by Mike Hohnen on August 17, 2012

Valued as one of the most important and influential trash metal bands, well, ever, High on Fire have announced a brief run of dates through the East Coast of Australia, ensuing a certain time of chaos we rarely see.

Too few bands these days make brutal music with as much integrity as High on Fire, with most of their peers, and proteges for that matter, just being brutal for brutal’s sake, but not The Fire. Collaborating elaborately detailed song structures with sheer brute force, it’s not just the bang your head and break shit metal that you see nowadays, but rather metal for the thinking man, who will then head bang and break shit.

The band will be touring in support of their latest release Snakes for the Devil, which proved beyond any reasonable doubt just how intricate and meticulous High on Fire are about their music, and once again, as they did with previous releases, Snakes for the Devil rose the standards of Doom Metal even further. High on Fire are easily kings of the genre and will surely never be usurped.

Check out the dates below.
