Hits & Pits Festival 2013 Lineup Announced

This coming March (2013) Australia is set to be hit by one of the toughest mini-festivals we’ve ever really seen, all at the hands of Hit & Pits Festival 2013. Organisers have today pulled the sheet back on the lineup, which features some of the biggest and baddest names in punk-rock, ska-punk, folk, and acoustic.

Taking the headlining spot for the event will be none other than Cali 7-piece Mad Caddies. Just about one of the greatest punk bands to ever blow a trumpet, Hit & Pits Festival will be one of the first opportunities Aussie fans will get to hear their new tunage, with them fresh from a studio stint.

Good Riddance is somewhat of a left-field addition to the lineup – though their politically infused brand of hardcore/punk is a righteous mix with the rest of the bands. After calling hiatus back in 2007, it was unlikely Australia would ever be graced by the band again, but the newly reunited group will be back. Together with the somewhat pioneers of melodic punk/hardcore A Wilhelm Scream, we have our main attractions for the fest.

As the bill continues, however, the big names just keep on coming. The Flatliners, celebrating their big 10th year as a band together, will be pushing out their tough-as-balls mix of punk and ska for the festival, as well as Diesel Boy and One Dollar Short, who are both locked in for acoustic performances.

Our very own Totally Unicorn will be adding some local flavour, well, some local dirty, sleazy yet-you-can’t-look-away flavour, and Paper Arms will be capping off the lineup.

The whole shebang will take place over two separate stages with the brilliant plan of opening doors a bit earlier, giving bands maximum glory time. Ticket, date, venue, and all that jazz is below.
