HOLY SHIT: Corey Taylor Is Hosting ‘Rage’ This Weekend

Written by Sam Murphy on August 17, 2017

Slipknot and Stone Sour frontman Corey Taylor will host the ABC‘s iconic music program Rage this weekend.

Taylor will curate his own playlist, taking a seat on the red chair to play videos by bands and artists that he’s digging.

In a trailer for the episode, Taylor says that he’ll be “playing a bunch of stuff that I’ve been looking forward to playing for a long time”.

That includes some of his “favourite artists” like David Bowie, Machine Head, Ice Cube, Metallica. Rage also say he’ll be playing videos by Nine Inch Nails, The Damned, The Datsuns and Australia’s very own INXS.

Taylor was in the country a few months ago on a promo trip, and while he was here he gave his opinion on some of Australia’s heaviest bands like Parkway Drive and Karnivool. He was damn impressed, so he may even slip some of them into his playlist this weekend.

He’ll be back at the end of this month with Stone Sour, touring the country nationally.

This weekend on Rage he’ll be taking over from Hanson, who were the last artist to take to the red chair. No doubt the playlists will be very different.
