UK EDM producers Hudson Mohawke and Zomby were reportedly involved in a physical altercation during the latter’s Deviation show at London’s XOYO on Friday night. Following the incident, the two traded barbs over social media, lobbing insults towards each other over Twitter.
While details are still unclear and many of the tweets between the two producers, including one of Zomby’s apparently bloodied knuckles, have since been deleted, reports indicate that Zomby was displeased with his peer coming to his show and “tweeting shit about me and my people.”
Zomby claimed that he then punched Hudson Mohawke, real name Ross Birchard, tweeting, “Let him talk all the shit he wants he just caught 3 in the face LOL…” A subsequent selfie posted by Birchard shows virtually no damage and no evidence of “blood n black eyes” as alleged by Zomby.
Far more stinging it seems were the mutual attacks launched over Twitter, with Zomby telling Birchard, “You’re the only person on planet earth who makes givenchy look cheap u sweaty unwashed tramp,” adding, “Hudson Mohawke so ugly the motherf–ker looks like he smells of shit.”
“Useless getting drawn into shit w certified mentally ill ppl, much better to move onwards n upwards n leave the angry ppl in the dust,” tweeted Birchard, though he was not above the ad hominem himself, writing, “Wish him the best tho as I always do to all the pussymennnnn heh.”
