I Killed The Prom Queen New Album Recording To Begin Next Week

I Killed The Prom Queen have publicly announced that in exactly one week’s time they will be entering the studio to begin recording their first full-length record since 2006’s Music For The Recently Deceased. This will be the first offering from the group since they reformed.

As per a tweet from guitarist Jona Weinhofen, we know that 12 tracks have been completed with a few more still in the pipelines. These tracks will be laid down during their stint in the studio, which Weinhofen confirmed will be starting next week.

It’s been almost 12 months since they released the 2012 surprise single Memento Vivere though it’s yet to be confirmed if that track will make the cut for the full-length.

The reunion hasn’t been without its dramas. The band has had to fight through a number of lineup changes since word broke that they would be once again teaming up. However, by all accounts, it seems to have been the right time to once again plug in, as IKTPQ have never been hotter on the live circuit.

Check out the tweet from Jona below and stay tuned for more deets.
