Icehouse To Headline Inaugural Red Hill Australia Day Eve Concert

For the first time ever, Perth’s Red Hill Auditorium will play host to a night of Australia Day celebrations, on Sunday, 25th January 2015. The evening is set to embrace all of our great nation’s favourite things: food, wine, champagne, cold beer, and some classic Aussie live music.

Headlining the night will be national treasures and bona fide ’80s legends Icehouse — because it just wouldn’t be Australia Day without them — as well as fellow ’80s rocker James Reyne, of Australian Crawl fame, and Diesel. Rest assured that the epic Great Southern Land will be played at least once, if not three or four times. Expect more acts to be added to the lineup before the big night. [UPDATE: Aussie pop rock vets Mental As Anything have also joined the lineup.]

Situated in a gorgeous national park, boasting panoramic views of Perth and a not-too-shabby view of the Milky Way, Red Hill Auditorium will no doubt be the perfect place to reignite your sense of national pride, dance with your mates, and be oh-so-thankful that it’s a public holiday the next day.

Punters can access the event through the auditorium’s shuttle bus service, located all over Perth, from Mandurah to Joondalup. Or for those who prefer to travel by car, you can take a scenic drive through the Swan Valley. For more details and tickets, head to Red Hill Gigs.
