Australian hip hop royalty Illy is back to warm up your winter with On & On, the first single from his upcoming fourth album and the first with his very own record label, ONETWO, scheduled for release in late 2013.
The Melburnian rapper, never one to do things by the book, took to Twitter yesterday to reveal On & On, calling his crew to action and asking them to tweet #onandon and @illyal to unlock the single.
That went down a treat with fans of the Heard It All vocalist, with his website crashing from the sheer volume of traffic and the hashtag trending nationwide.
The song, a light-hearted look at growing up, accepting change and making the most of life while you can, has had more than 5,500 listens on SoundCloud since the launch.
Illy’s never been one to be quiet for very long. His yet-to-be-named upcoming album, which will be produced by M-Phazes, is his fourth in as many years and the follow-up to 2012’s Bring It Back.
The On & On single will be available digitally from Friday, 21st June.
