Jackson McLaren & The Triple Threat 2014 Album Launch Tour Announced

Warrnambool’s favourite son and quickly becoming one of Australia’s favourite songwriters, Jackson McLaren has announced that he hand his band, The Triple Threat, will be launching their debut full-length effort, Songs To Greet The Dawn, with three special East Coast shows this June.

Songs To Greet The Dawn was produced by John Castle, who’s worked with such illustrious Australian names as Vance Joy, Josh Pyke, and Washington. The album was released earlier this month and marks the burgeoning ascension of one of Australia’s most exciting songwriting talents.

The success of the album has been propelled by the driving single Here’s a Memory, which features the kind of big folk rock crescendos that would make Of Monsters And Men green with envy, as well as Some of My Friends, a far more tender and waltzy tribute to the way life changes you.

This short run of dates will kick off at The Melbourne Folk Club on Wednesday, 4th June, before McLaren and his trusty musos head up the coast for two gigs in New South Wales, first taking on the Hibernian House on Saturday, 28th June and The Welcome Hotel in Rozelle the next evening.
