James Hetfield Rules Out Any Further Collabs Between Metallica & Lady Gaga

Despite some major technical stuff-ups, Metallica and Lady Gaga‘s Grammys performance of ‘Moth Into Flame’ was a truly epic collaboration.

It was so good in fat, that Lars Ulrich came out and called Gaga the “quintissential fifth member” of Metallica, declaring too that the band were keen to work with her closely again in the future.

However, it appears that James Hetfield doesn’t agree with Ulrich’s sentiments. Speaking with Chilean newspaper La Tercera (via Loudwire), the Metallica frontman was asked about working with Lady Gaga again.

His response was damning and straight to the point, essentially shooting down an possibility of further work together. “I have no interest,” he said.

Hetfield did however, go on praise the work that Gaga did with the band earlier in the year. “Being with her gave me a different energy,” he said. “She goes beyond her limits, like us.”
