Brisbane muso Jarryd James has followed up his hit Do You Remember with another silky smooth single, Give Me Something, a track which he says will feature on a forthcoming debut album.
Once again featuring the signature production styles of Lorde, Broods and Daniel Johns collaborator Joel Little, Give Me Something is awash with the Jarryd James’ warm, soul-tinged tones laid over those steady Joel Little beats.
Speaking to triple j, James said he is currently in L.A. “putting the finishing touches” to his debut album and is eyeing an August release date for it. He also revealed he’s been working with Frank Ocean’s Channel Orange producer Malay and Melbourne producer Pip Norman.
With the hype going strong, and following a completely sold-out headline tour in April, Jarryd James will again be hitting the east coast this July for a string of tour dates, followed by his first ever festival appearance at Splendour In The Grass.
