Good Charlotte are heading to the East Coast of Australia this November for The JD Set, which will see them play shows in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.
Last month we saw Art Vs Science put their own touch on the classic songs of legendary Aussie band Icehouse, now Good Charlotte will bring to life a classic album by one of the most popular bands of the nineties, Weezer. The band will perform songs from Weezer’s first album The Blue Album, which was released in 1994 and has since sold over 3 million copies.
Weezer were a major influence on the music of Good Charlotte, and Benji Madden spoke about how excited he is to be involved with the JD Set, saying:
As everyone knows we consider Australia a second home. We are excited to have the opportunity to not only come to our favourite country but also perform some of our favourite songs from one of our favourite bands.
The inside info is that Good Charlotte will also throw in a few of their biggest hits alongside their Weezer reinterpretations, so if you don’t already have a ticket, check the links below and purchase one before it’s too late!
The JD Set will once again be showcasing just why Jack Daniels and music have been such a legendary combination since 1892, when he started his own Silver Cornet Band; so get plugged into not only the live shows, but also check out their recently revamped facebook hub, where you can check out onstage and backstage videos from gigs, exclusive photos galleries and free music downloads.
