Jill Scott Announces First-Ever Australian Tour

Written by Sarah Bella on June 10, 2013

Soulful songstress Jill Scott has just announced her first ever trip to Australia, bringing her distinct vocal style and unique blend of R & B, jazz and hip hop our way for a string of shows this November, complete with backing from her 10-piece band.

The American vocalist, who counts Beyonce and Young Jeezy amongst her fanbase, first caught our attention with her 2000 debut Who Is Jill Scott? and has dropped 3 more full-length albums since, with her latest, Light Of The Sun, debuting at number 1 on the US Billboard Top 200 chart. Her live show is renowned for being a powerhouse production, which fans already know is going to be a pretty evocative and personal experience.

Jill Scott will be kicking off her Australian tour in Perth on 17th November, before playing one show each in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney. Tickets will be on sale to the general public from 9:00am AEST on Tuesday, 18th June.
