Jimmy Fallon Just Insulted Jimmy Barnes & Kirin J Callinan’s Iconic Aussie Banger

UPDATE: Kirin J Callinan & Jimmy Barnes Respond After Jimmy Fallon Disses Their Song

ORIGINAL STORY: American talk-show host Jimmy Fallon has just insulted some more beloved Australian artists on The Tonight Show, after poking fun at the song ‘Big Enough’ by the enigmatic Kirin J Callinan and his mate Jimmy Barnes.

‘Big Enough’ is featured in the latest instalment of The Tonight Show‘s ‘Do Not Play’ segment, which sees Fallon jokingly discuss and play songs which he thinks no one should be listening to, or which don’t actually seem like real songs.

Playing ‘Big Enough’ during the segment (which you can watch below), Fallon was clearly taken aback by the meme-inducing Barnesy scream which features on the track, and some fans didn’t like his response…

While Callinan is yet to comment on ‘Big Enough’ being featured on Fallon’s ‘Do Not Play’ list (UPDATE: Callinan has now released a statement), his record label Terrible Records says in a statement that they were surprised by the song’s inclusion.

“At the beginning of this campaign, we told Kirin J Callinan he’d make it on late night TV,” they say. “This is not at all what we had in mind.”

This isn’t the first time Jimmy Fallon has put an Australian artist on his ‘Do Not Play’ list — in 2015 he insulted Aussie rapper Ur Boy Bangz by mocking his 2009 viral hit ‘Take U To Da Movies’, which led to a Fallon diss track from Bangz.

Watch Jimmy Fallon poke fun at ‘Big Enough’ alongside the song’s official music video, below. The track features on Callinan’s latest album, Bravado.
