Written by Alex Langlands on March 21, 2012

In 2001, Joey Ramone left behind one of the greatest and most influential legacies in Rock and Roll history. The frontman of legendary group The Ramones, passed away in 2001 from lymphoma, but in addition to his legacy, he also left behind a stack of unreleased recordings.

Fans will be treated to the first release from this library of unreleased tracks since the 2002 release of Don’t Worry About Me. The 2012 release, titled Ya Know?, will be released in the coming months, with the first single Rock and Roll is the Answer set to be released on Record Store Day, April 21. The album will feature 17 tracks that were recorded as demos for The Ramones, or after the band split in 1996. The songs have been completed by a wide variety of producers, who have worked tirelessly to ensure this release is successful. The album will also feature tracks titled New York City and Waiting for That Railroad.

Ya Know? will be released on May 15.
