Now iconic Australian folk/roots group John Butler Trio will be starting off 2013 with a couple of special events, which will take place on the grounds of two of Western Australia’s most popular wineries: Leeuwin Estate Winery and Castelli Winery on the 3rd and 4th of January respectively.
Playing a few days earlier at Peats Ridge Festival, these events are aimed at being more family orientated. John, Byron and Nicky will take to the stage to perform tracks such as Revolution, One Way Road and Close to You, taken from their fifth album April Uprising, as well as classic hits from their past back catalogue, while WA songstress Mama Kin will start off both shows.
John Butler, also an Australian music icon, finished up a run of shows earlier this year. Dubbed his Tin Shed Tales tour, it took him all around the country from capital cities to regional areas. He shared many anecdotes with the audience and performed songs from his vast catalogue, spanning across all five albums.
Tickets for these winery shows will go on sale Monday, 26th November. Both venues are 18+, although children are permitted provided they are accompanied at all times with a parent or legal guardian.
