John C. Reilly Announces Australian Shows, December 2012

Written by Marc Zanotti on November 21, 2012

You’re probably better aquainted with John C. Reilly as slacker Dale ‘Dragon’ Doback from Step Brothers or shakin’ and bakin’ as Cal Naughton Jr. in Talladega Nights. But the accomplished actor is no stranger to the magical realm of music.

Along with friends Tom Brosseau and Becky Stark, Reilly will be bringing his bluegrass tunes to Australia. John C. Reilly and Friends have released music though Jack White’s label Third Man Records, while White himself has produced Reilly tracks such as Gonna Lay Down My Old Guitar and I’ll Be There If You Ever Want.

If Reilly’s musical chops live up to his acting abilities, which have been nominated for an Oscar, Golden Globe and Tony, then Australian fans should be in for a superb and perhaps somewhat surreal experience. Tickets are on sale now via Live Nation.
