Josh Homme In Hot Water Over Smoking During Performance

There’s no doubt that Josh Homme is one of the great rockers, but he may be in a spot of bother after he decided to smoke during his gig overnight at the Manchester Arena.

Queens Of The Stone Age are currently performing off the back of their latest record ‘Villains,’ but Manchester Evening News reports that a spokesperson for the arena has since called out Homme for smoking.

“It is very disappointing and regrettable that the artist chose to smoke on stage during their performance in Manchester,” said the spokesperson in a statement.

“This was an individual decision taken by the artist, despite us making it very clear to their management that it is illegal to smoke in any area of the arena.

“We are extremely vigilant in ensuring our venue remains a no-smoking environment and our extensive front of house ‘no smoking’ signage is duplicated throughout our backstage area.”

As MEN points out, smoking in enclosed spaces including music venues has been banned since 2007, and venues could lose their licence or be fined for a breach of the law.

Some fans actually captured pictures of Homme smoking during the show. Check out some of the images below.
