Kings Cross is getting its own mini-festival with a puntastic name Splendour In The Cross and the full lineup has already been announced.
The festival, which is due to hit Sydney’s former nightlife capital Kings Cross in August, has announced a lineup full of young talent that’s as good, if not better than its name.
Sydney bands Wild Honey and Middle Kids will headline the day joined by Letters To Lions, Hunch, YEEVS and more. They will be spread out over two stages at World Bar from 3pm, showcasing just how good Sydney’s local talent is.
The event is part of the OXJAM Music Festival which will see events run all around the country aiming to raise money for Oxfam Australia’s work to end poverty. There have now been a couple of great lineups announced for events in Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney.
For Splendour In The Cross, you can purchase a $5 admission ticket at the door or you can drop $10 for admission, a free drink and a $5 donation to Oxfam.
It’s a great opportunity to give to a good cause, celebrate the city’s local music scene and also add some vibrancy to the Cross as it’s been hit hard by the lockout laws.
