Justin Timberlake And Kanye Bury The Hatchet At VMA’s, Talk Collaboration

Besides serving as the backdrop for the experimental dance stylings of Miley Cyrus, the VMA’s were also the site of a reconciliation between Justin Timberlake and Kanye West, who ended a seven month-long beef.

In an interview with US radio show Sway In The Morning, Timberlake was asked about the feud, which started back in February after Kanye launched an attack at JT’s song Suit & Tie, off his third solo album The 20/20 Experience, with the singer shooting back at West during a performance on Saturday Night Live.

Timberlake told Sway that this past weekend’s MTV Video Music Awards engendered the spirit of reconciliation, saying:

At the end of the day it’s just music. I love the record, I love Suit & Tie. It reminds me of the music I grew up listening to. I respect his opinion because I think he’s a genius, but I don’t share that opinion.

Timberlake also elaborated on his respect for West, saying “I told [Kanye], ‘I fuck with you, in a way that you probably don’t even understand. I get what you do. We’ve never worked together, so I don’t think that he fully understands what it is that I can do. I love Yeezus, I love that album,” before expressing a desire to work with the Chicago rapper.

Kanye reportedly responded by telling the pop star “the best way I know how to do that is for us to just sit down and play music.” Sounds like fans should look out for JT on Watch The Throne II.
