Kanye West can’t seem to get himself out of the headlines – and the people over at BeatsPerMinute have done their job to ensure he stays there for a bit longer.
They’ve put together the latest news and speculations over his much-mooted sixth album – the follow-up to 2010’s My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.
Producer No I.D. has stated that despite the impending release of West’s G.O.O.D. Music label collaboration Cruel Summer (out August 7) – his next album is hardly off his mind.
“I’m not working on [Cruel Summer], I’m working on his album,” No I.D. said.
“This is Kanye. You know what to expect from the family. He hasn’t missed yet, so don’t expect him to miss. It’s what you expect and everything you don’t expect.”
The list of collaborators, both confirmed and rumoured, for the record include Justice, Diplo, LMFAO, James Blake, and M.I.A. Musically, the album will contain some more ‘danceable’ tunes – similar to what Ye’ churned out with Jay-Z on last year’s collaboration Watch the Throne.
Will we see a new Kanye album this year – and if so, what will it sound like? Let us know your thoughts below.
