Kanye’s New Album Art ‘Banned’

“Nirvana can have a naked human being on they cover but I can’t have a PAINTING of a monster with no arms and a polka dot tail and wings,” Kanye said in a twitter post.

According upcoming album My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, due out on Nov 22nd through Roc-A-Fella/Def Jam has been ‘banned’ in the US.

“Banned in the USA!!! They don’t want me chilling on the couch with my phoenix!” he went on to say. “In all honesty … I really don’t be thinking about Wal-Mart when I make my music or album covers #Kanyeshrug!”

In an article in the L.A. Times, an anonymous insider at Mr. West’s record label Island Def Jam stated that while the label had strongly urged Kayne to use alternate artwork, fearing that major market retailers such as Wal-Mart and Best Buy wouldn’t carry the album due to the somewhat controversial artwork.
