Kendrick Lamar Brings The Fire With ‘To Pimp A Butterfly’ Medley On Colbert’s New ‘Late Show’

Kendrick Lamar has delivered a blistering medley of songs from his To Pimp A Butterfly album, appearing as the music guest on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

Colbert’s second show since taking over from iconic host David Letterman saw him teaming up with Lamar once more, who was the musical guest on the finale of his Comedy Central program The Colbert Report. The performance, hailed as one of the best on the show ever, was so moving the Colbert had to have Kendrick back from his sophomore turn hosting The Late Show.

Never one to disappoint, and with such high expectations from the last performance, Lamar pulled out all the stops delivering a scorching medley of songs from his latest album.

Including the songs Wesley’s Theory, Momma, King Kunta, and U, Kendrick had a full backing band along for the ride, consisting of Thundercat and Bilal, among others. U even had a very special extra verse added for the performance.
