Kendrick Lamar Just Played An Entire Concert On The Back Of A Moving Truck

After shaking up the music world last week by dropping his much anticipated new album To Pimp A Butterfly a week early, Kendrick Lamar has now shaken-up Hollywood’s Sunset Boulevard, by playing a surprise concert there on the back of a moving truck.

Kendrick Lamar alerted fans that something was going down tonight with a cryptic tweet. “9pm. meet me here. 8950 Sunset Blvd. 930pm. meet me here. 8466 Melrose Ave,” he wrote.

Social media was soon swarmed with photos and video of the surprise concert, with footage of fans chasing the flat bed moving truck as the rapper performed songs from his new record as well as other fan favourites.

The concert seems to have been organised in collaboration with Reebok, as part of their #GetPumped campaign. The company even live streamed the event on their website.

To Pimp a Butterfly is currently the number one album on the Australian charts and also smashed Spotify’s first-day global streaming record.
