Kendrick Lamar & Mac Miller’s New Collab ‘Cold Summer’ Brings The Vintage Hip-Hop Vibes

Written by Emmy Mack on August 30, 2017

Kendrick Lamar and Mac Miller have joined forces on a soulful new DJ Slay tune that’s packing some serious old school hip-hop vibes.

The pair’s first collab since 2016’s ‘Fight The Feeling’ sees the dudes rap over a 90’s style guitar sample threaded by a Nate Dogg-level catchy R&B chorus hook.

The tune, which also feautures Louisiana rapper Kevin Gates and R&B singer Rell, will appear on on NYC producer Slay’s forthcoming new album The Big Brother, which is due out on Friday, 22nd September.

And what’s more, its arrival comes prior to Mac heading down under for a string of live dates, including a spot on the Listen Out festival bill.
