Kendrick Lamar Has Reportedly Collaborated With Maroon 5, For Some Reason

UPDATE 12/10/16: Kendrick Lamar’s collaborative track with Maroon 5 has now been released.

ORIGINAL STORY: 2016 has already seen some pretty huge collaborations, including plenty that you might not have seen coming – but none can hold a bar to news that rapper Kendrick Lamar has reportedly agreed to feature on a new Maroon 5 single.

Maroon 5 have been playing the tune in question, I Don’t Want To Know, during their recent live shows, but now Headline Planet is reporting that a studio version of the track featuring King Kendrick is set to be released in mid-October.

While this seems like a strange move, Lamar recently surprised many when he contributed a verse to a version of Sia’s latest track The Greatest, and that turned out to be a stroke of genius.

Just when we thought Adam Levine and company had done just about everything, it appears we may be about to experience peak Maroon 5 (as opposed to their actual musical peak in 2002 with She Will Be Loved), but only time will tell if it’ll be a good peak or a bad one.

Check out Maroon 5 playing I Don’t Want To Know live, below.
