Kimbra Announces New Australian Tour Dates

Having recently dropped her highly-anticipated new album The Golden Echo, New Zealand’s jubilant leading lady Kimbra will be bringing her signature electric performances to Australian stages later this year.

As she winds up a mid-October US tour, which includes a sold out show at Hollywood’s iconic Roxy Theatre, Kimbra will stop by Sydney’s Metro Theatre and Melbourne’s Hi-Fi this November. The LA-based pop singer-songwriter returns to Australia after her co-headline tour with Janelle Monae was aborted prematurely in May.

Speaking to Music Feeds earlier this year, Kimbra said of the upcoming tour, “I’m super excited to come back. I think it’ll be even an better energy in a way because it’ll be like, ‘Wow, we didn’t get served this time, so we’re gonna come back, and it’ll be even more energy than before.”

Featuring singles 90’s Music and Miracle, The Golden Echo was co-produced by Kimbra and Rich Costey (Foster the People, Interpol, Muse). According to Music Feeds reviewer Sam Murphy, The Golden Echo is “an oddball, schizoid ode to ’90s culture, nostalgia and youthful exuberance,” and we’ve got no doubt Kimbra’s show will be just as thrilling.

General public tickets to Kimbra’s November shows go on sale at 10am, Thursday 4th September. See details below.
